Program Overview:
Ages 5-6: Little Pros
At this age the biggest goal is
for the kids to have fun! For
most, this is their first
experience with golf. While
having fun is the main priority,
Little Pros will also learn the
basics of the game. Instruction
includes use of our Big Bear
Indoor Mini Putt, Driving Range,
Practice Area and our Outdoor
Natural Grass Putting Course.
Each child will receive a
certificate of completion as
well as handouts and tips for
improvement.

Ages 7-9: Juniors Pros
At this age kids start to learn
to develop their skills. This
fun program covers many aspects
of the game, from short putts
and chips, to those long drives
kids love to hit! At this age,
we will start to develop each
Junior Pro’s swing style. There
will also be a increased focus
on safety and etiquette.
Instruction includes use of our
Big Bear Indoor Mini Putt,
Driving Range, Practice Area and
our Outdoor Natural Grass
Putting Course. Each child will
receive a certificate of
completion as well as handouts
and tips for improvement.

2009 Junior Fun League |
 |
The goal of the
Golf Zone Junior Golf League is
to help juniors develop the
skills needed to play and enjoy
the game of golf. The league is
non-competitive and intended for
the sole purpose of learning and
enjoyment.
• The league is
open to boys and girls ages 9
through 14 with three age
brackets 8-9, 10-11, 12-13.
• The league is designed for
juniors who have had some
playing experience.
• Beginners are encouraged to
participate in the Golf Zone
Junior Golf Camp Program prior
to playing in the league.
• League program is under the
direction of Rod Lidenberg, PGA
Master Professional and Top 100
Teacher. The program is
administered by lead-instructor
Brian Geraty and his staff.
• The cost for a single session
is $169. The total for both
sessions is $325.
Note: Session price includes
Kids Zone Summer Pass . . . .a
$49 value. (Kids Zone Summer Pass includes
one small bucket of balls per
day and unlimited play on the
Golf Zone’s 3-hole River Links
course.)
• Supervised Play is on Friday
morning’s beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Juniors will receive pairing and
tee times each week in advance.
(Juniors may specify if they
would like to play with a friend
that is in the same age group)
• There are two league sessions
each 6 weeks in length. Juniors
may register for one or both
sessions:
Session 1 June 5, 12, 19, 25
July 10 and 17 Session 2 July 24, 31, August 7,
14, 21, 28 Please note: A parent volunteer
is required to accompany their
child for (1) of the (5) playing
sessions.
• Parents and children are
required to attend an
orientation session prior to the
start of the league. Specific
dates for will be announced at a
later time.
• Maximum size of the league is
60 players. Space is available
on a first-come first served
basis.
• The first week of each session
will be dedicated to safety,
rules and etiquette. These
sessions will be held at The
Golf Zone.
• After the first week session
all league play will be held at
Halla Greens Executive Golf
Course located at 945 Pioneer
Trail, Chanhassen, Minnesota.

• Beginners are encouraged to
participate in the Golf Zone
Junior Golf Camp Program prior
to playing in the league.
• Juniors are required to have
their own set of clubs with an
adequate supply of balls and
tees for each round.
• Scores will be recorded on a
weekly basis. Prizes will be
awarded for boys and girls low
scores in each bracket.
Additional prizes will be given
for weekly fun contest winners.
• Rain Day Policy: In the event
of rain participant will meet at
The Golf Zone for sheltered
range practice and play on the
indoor Mini-Putt course.
• At the conclusion of play on
the final day of each league a
Pizza party will be held at the
Golf Zone.

2009 Future Champions
League
• The league is
open to boys and girls ages 14,
15 and 16.
• A junior younger than 14 is
eligible to play in the league
provided they are capable of
scoring 45 or less for 9-holes
on a regulation size golf
course.
• The Junior Champions League is
a 8-week program comprised of
both play and instruction.

computer analysis and DVD.

bunker play).

• Play Sessions are on Tuesday
afternoons beginning at 2:30pm
and will be held at Bluff Creek
G.C. located at 1025 Creekwood,
Chaska, Minnesota 55318. The

• Instructional Sessions are on
Saturday mornings from
9:00am-10:30am.
And will be held at The Golf
Zone.
• Student to teacher ratio 6 to
1.
• The minimum number of
participants will be (6) with a
maximum of (24).
• The cost for the eight-week
play and instruction league is
$599.
• Parents and
children are required to attend
an orientation session prior to
the start of the league.
Specific dates for will be
announced at a later time.
• An introductory session for
the league will be held at
9:00am Saturday, June 6th at The
Golf Zone.
• Juniors are required to have
their own equipment.
• Scores will be recorded on a
weekly basis. Prizes will be
awarded for boys and girls low
scores in each bracket.
Additional prizes will be given
for weekly contest winners.
• The overall winners in each
bracket will be determined by
the lowest (8) scores. Trophies
will be awarded.
• At the conclusion of play on
the final day of play an awards
banquet will be held at The Golf
Zone.
